Recommended Uses

Our Unscreened Fill Dirt is an excellent choice for filling deep low spots, raising grades, backfilling, rough grading, site preparation, building up landscape areas, and other general fill applications.

For lawn projects, Unscreened Fill Dirt can be used to build the area to the desired elevation and then covered with Screened Topsoil to provide a smoother surface suitable for grass seed or sod.

Unscreened Fill Dirt is not intended for use as a finished planting soil. Because it is an unprocessed material, its consistency and composition can vary and it may contain rocks, roots, clumps, and other natural materials.

For lawns, gardens, and finished landscape areas, we recommend using Screened Topsoil or Mixed Soil as the final growing layer.
